The Neuroon is a smart sleep mask that provides a function to wake up with sunrise, regardless of time of day. This is the most natural and easiest way to wake up. It has a variety of other features designed for optimizing sleep. It was originally launched as a kicstarter project, but after many revisions it has been finalized and released.

The mask looks very trendy and is quite comfortable to wear. It is very good at blocking out the light completely. Front of the mask has a circuit board with EEG electrodes which record the sleep patterns. Neuroon app lets the user know how long they have slept, how much time they spent in each sleep phase, number of times they woke up, their heart rate and sleep score. User is woken up with a vibrating alarm which is a much gentler way to wake up, when compared to regular alarm clock.

Neuroon is designed to combat jet lag in a convenient way using light therapy. Users can choose from a number of pre-programmed naps that will help them recover their energy and align their circadian rhytm with their schedules.

For anyone who has a segmented sleep schedule, particularly shift workers and those who travel a lot, Neuroon can be an invaluable tool to optimize their sleep. Find our more about neuron on their website neuroon.com

Wow, that sounds awesome if it works as described. Sucks that the estimated delivery time is 10 weeks though

Every comment and review I can find for this product praises the light therapy aspect and the masks effective blackout ability. Which would make a great $40 mask. The rest of the product either seems to irritate people (lousy battery life, irritating red light sensor on all the time, hot to wear, etc) or do nothing (app information that’s wrong, or app information that has no functional use for the user, etc) – and its those extras that give it a $299 price tag.

Looking forward to the $40 knock-off – no doubt coming to a Chinese ebay store soon!

I own it and can say it isn’t nearly as good as Zeo. Functionality: 2/10. For polypasic sleep, 20m nap it is worthless – very disappointed as they originally marketed it as a polyphasic sleep mask, which it is not.
